I received a Kindle Fire for Christmas, and was astounded to discover a complimentary month of the Kindle Prime program, whereby you can access thousands of hours of older TV shows, absolutely free.
All of Star Trek? Every last X-Files? Amazing, I thought. Shows I’d loved back in the day, enjoyed with my friends in dorm rooms and small apartments, to be consumed again at my merest whim.
So I pulled up, at random, an X-Files episode where people were going crazy in a Maryland suburb. Turns out the “government” was torturing them through nefarious signals on their televisions.
